With SAP SuccessFactors 1H 2024 scheduled for release to Production, 17 - 19 May 2024, it is a good idea to have a look at what's in store for Employee Central Payroll.
Assuming you have enabled SAP's Generative AI Assistant Joule, employees can now access payment information or payslip for a particular month, date or year using natural language. The results will show in summary format, displaying the pay date, net and gross amounts. The employee can also access the payslip as a PDF and any payment history.
Four newly supported UI integration cards have been added to the SAP SuccessFactors Work Zone to provide notification to managers about:
Mozilla Firefox and Apple Safari have already disabled third-party cookies, and according to available information, third-party cookies are scheduled to be disabled in Chrome by Q3 (2024) with Microsoft Edge following suit. This poses a particular problem for opening EC Mashups in a new tab on the employee's profile page. To allow for this functionality, SAP has released a SAP System Configuration object called Open Infotypes and Payroll Control Center in a new tab.
Pay Statement (Direct) allows for payslip details to be read directly from Employee Central Payroll and displayed in Employee Central, SF Mobile (Payroll) and via the homepage with the quick action, View My Pay Statement. With 1H 2024, SAP delivers a new scenario in the Cloud Integration Automation Services, making it easier for customers to either enable or migrate to the recommended integration for Pay Statement direct from ECP.
Auxiliary Calculations has now been moved to a separate tab within the Manage Configuration application of Payroll Control Center and can also now be sorted using the sorting buttons. The function allows you to define custom calculations or logic that can be reused across different parts of PCC such as validation rules, KPIs or a designer.
New customers can now use the Identity Provisioning service in SAP Cloud Identity Services to create, update, and delimit users in SAP SuccessFactors ECP as an alternative to using the User Creation Report (full documentation to be released May 17, 2024). As of this release, this option is only available to new customers as there is no migration of existing records for customers who currently use the user creation report.
